Ashely was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where she still resides. From a young age, she developed a fascination with her grandfather's garage, filled with tools and wooden creations. As she grew older, she dreamed of making handcrafted wooden items like cutting boards and jewelry boxes as a career, but convinced herself otherwise and pursued cabinetmaking for 14 years.

Eventually, she took a leap of faith and started her own woodshop, focusing on making boards and boxes with a particular fondness for the chevron pattern. The creative process is her favorite aspect of the job, allowing her to express herself through building beautiful boards and witnessing the joy they bring to her clients.
